Legal Clinic
The Legal Clinic at MSAAW Foundation was created after noticing that victims/survivors of sexual and/or gender based violence often find it overwhelming, triggering and traumatic to approach lawyers for legal advice. We wanted to give more agency and control to victims/survivors and empower them by giving them information on their terms.
• Our legal clinic has a roster of lawyers who work extensively on representing victims/survivors of sexual and/or gender-based violence. This includes but not limited to domestic violence, sexual harassment at workplace, sexual violence.
• This is currently limited to consultations wherein the lawyers will advise on the legal options available to you from a practical perspective. This does not mean they guarantee representing you as a client in the court proceedings.
• All these consultations are free of cost and confidential. It is also virtual to ensure ease of communication and access from the client’s choice of location.
